Configure ALC [ALC]

IVI Compliance Package

IviUpconverter Configure ALC [ALC]

IviUpconverterALC Capability Group

This VI configures the ALC (Automatic Level Control) of the upconverter's RF output.

IviUpconverter Configure ALC [ALC].vi

civrn instrument handle The instrument handle that you obtain from the IviUpconverter Initialize VI or IviUpconverter Initialize With Options VI. The handle identifies a particular instrument session.

Default Value: None

ci32 source (Internal) Pass the source of the controlling voltage for the Automatic Level Control. The RF level at the sensor point is held constant. The driver uses this value to set the IviUpconverter ALC Source [ALC] property.

Valid Values:

IVIUPCONVERTER_VAL_ALC_SOURCE_INTERNAL - The ALC is controlled by an internal measurement source.

IVIUPCONVERTER_VAL_ALC_SOURCE_EXTERNAL - The ALC is controlled by an external voltage.

Default Value:

IVIUPCONVERTER_VAL_ALC_SOURCE_INTERNAL

cdbl ALC bandwidth (0.0 Hz) Pass the bandwidth of the level control. Narrow bandwidth improves noise and allows AM with modulation frequencies beyond bandwidth frequency. The driver uses this value to set the IviUpconverter ALC Bandwidth [ALC] property.

Default Value: 0.0 Hz

cerrcodeclst error in (no error) The error in cluster can accept error information wired from VIs previously called. Use this information to decide if any functionality should be bypassed in the event of errors from other VIs.

The pop-up option Explain Error (or Explain Warning) gives more information about the error displayed.

iivrn instrument handle out The instrument handle that you obtain from the IviUpconverter Initialize VI or IviUpconverter Initialize With Options VI. The handle identifies a particular instrument session.

Default Value: None

ierrcodeclst error out The error out cluster passes error or warning information out of a VI to be used by other VIs.

The pop-up option Explain Error (or Explain Warning) gives more information about the error displayed.
