Edit Installer Dialog Box - General Tab (Patch)
Use the General tab of the Edit Installer dialog box to enter general information about the patch you are editing. The following options are available in the General tab.

- Installer path (nidist.id)—Contains the folder that contains the nidist.id file of the distribution on which you are basing the patch. The nidist.id file is typically located in the Volume folder in the cvidistkit.ProjectName folder. You can update the path that you selected in the Initial Patch Setup dialog box.
- Distribution name—Displays the name of the distribution for which to create the patch as it appears in the Manage Distributions dialog box list or in the Build»Distributions submenu.
- Application name—Displays the name of the application, which is determined by the distribution specified in the Installer Path option. LabWindows/CVI truncates application names longer than 50 characters.
- Target version—Displays the version of the distribution on which you are basing the patch, which is determined by the distribution in the Installer Path option.
- Language—Displays the language in which the installer displays all messages during the installation, which is determined by the distribution specified in the Installer Path option.
- Patched application name—Displays the name of the patched application. This name appears in the Windows Programs and Features list.
- Patched version—Displays the version number of the patched application, which you specified in the Initial Patch Setup dialog box.
